For over a hundred and fifty years Chesterfield's churches have come together the march around the town as a witness of their Christian Faith. Originally it was called the 'Whit Walk' when it was held on the Bank Holiday Monday after Whit Sunday. When the Bank Holiday was moved to the last Monday in May, the walk moved as well and was re-named 'Procession of Witness'.
These are pictures from the 2011 event which this year had the theme 'The Year of the Bible' -celebrating the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.
St Thomas' people supported Tear Fund's 'Turn on the Tap' campaign -quite apt in the weather conditions that prevailed on the walk!
