22.4.11 Good Friday Hour at the Cross Service Listen to the service here 22.4.11 Good Friday 'Hot Cross Bun' Service Listen to the service here On Good Friday morning an 'All Age Hot Cross Bun' service was lead by Matt Barnes, the Rector. The service re-told the Easter Story. One of the children was chosen to be Jesus and we followed him (Jesus) around the church. We shared the Last Supper, wrote prayers in the Garden of Gethsemane, re-enacted Jesus' trial before Pilate and finally accompanied Jesus to his execution, making our own replica crosses. Finally we lit candles to remind us of him. After the service there were hot cross buns. Listen to the service here Below are pictures from the service 24.4.11 Easter Sunday Morning Service Matt, the Rector led and spoke at this All Age Communion Service. In his talk he likened to stone that was accross the tomb Jesus'body was in to the things that block us from God. Once the 'stone' is removed we can have a relationship with God and he takes away our fears, concerns etc. The church was so full we had to have one communion distribution point outside! After the service there were hot cross buns.
